Test
A small beagle puppy opened her eyes to complete darkness. She was white with brown patches. A dark brown patch was located on her left fore-leg, right hind leg, right ear, tail tip, and around her right eye. Her large eyes were dark brown, too.  The smell of blood clung in the air. She traced the vile scent to her left hind leg.
    Why am I bleeding? she thought.
     A noise came from outside. It sounded like a person. She then remembered her owners. Where were they? Where was she? Suddenly, the dark, crate-like box she was in began to move. She heard the footsteps of a human. Where were they taking her?
